Booking an Appointment
IMPORTANT: PATIENT ACCESS
PLEASE NOTE: Online bookable appointments are currently suspended.
For patients wishing to start using an online, secure facility for GP appointment booking, this is available via the www.patient.co.uk website. However, before you can do this, you need to obtain a pin number and access ID number from one of our Receptionists. Just pop along to the surgery and we will be able to arrange full access for you. Please remember to bring proof of ID with you – photographic and home address.
Alternatively, to gain an immediate ‘limited’ access to the service, please visit www.patient.co.uk.
Some of the advantages of this system are that you can cancel appointments you have made electronically and it also provides an increased number of appointments than we were able to offer previously. As of March 2017, you can now also see all lab results, consultations and documents.
If you need any further information on the above, then please do not hesitate to contact us.
The online booking system is only for use by patients who are already registered at our practice. It is suitable for making routine appointments only, with your doctor.
It is not possible to book nurse appointments, joint appointments with doctor and nurse, extra long appointments, or non-routine appointments such as smears, HGV medicals, insurance medicals, taxi medicals, minor ops, post natal, baby six week checks, coil appointments.
For such appointments, please telephone 01759 302500, option 1.
Please note these ‘non-routine’ appointments are not available on a Saturday morning.
As of March 2017, we now offer a text reminder service for appointments ,so please ensure we have the correct mobile number on your records.
TELEPHONE APPOINTMENTS
Do you know we offer telephone appointments?
This means you can book an appointment with the doctor of your choice and they will ring you back within 10 minutes of the allocated time. Problems dealt with during these telephone appointments can include medication reviews, discussion of investigation results, advice on ongoing problems or chronic diseases, advice on any new symptoms and whether you need a face to face appointment.
Just telephone 01759 302500 to book your telephone appointment or alternatively visit the Patient Access website and book online. If you have not yet registered for this service, please speak with one of our reception team.
