Patients registered for Patient Access can now see all lab results, consultations and documents.  If you are not registered yet for Patient Access, please press the brown key on our home page, which will take you to the correct site to progress your registration.  You will then be able to use it for one appointment.  For full access, you must bring proof of ID (photographic and home address) into the surgery and see one of our Reception team.

Please ensure that we have the correct contact details for you on record, including your mobile telephone number, if applicable.  This is because we can now offer a text reminder service for appointments.

Anyone requesting travel information by either telephone, email or online, should follow their original request up one week later with a telephone call to the surgery.  This allows the nursing team time to investigate the requirements for the area being travelled to.

Further to recent media reports regarding the MenACWY vaccination, all adolescents – 17/18 year olds - born between 01 September 1997 and 31 August 1998 in England and freshers born between 01 April 1991 and 31 August 1997 are eligible for vaccination.

The vaccine will be available for all adolescents in this eligible group regardless of their intention to continue into further education.  However, the target primarily is those who have plans to go to university for the first time this year and it is important they are vaccinated before they leave home.

Pocklington Group Practice sent out letters earlier in the year to all adolescents eligible inviting them for vaccination.  There is also a ‘catch up’ availability of the vaccine for those who were school leaving age in summer 2015, born between 01 September 1996 and 31 August 1997, but who did not receive vaccination during 2015/16.

To make an appointment please telephone 01759 302500.

Do you know we offer telephone appointments?

This means you can book an appointment with the doctor of your choice and they will ring you back within 10 minutes of the allocated time.  Problems dealt with during these telephone appointments can include medication reviews, discussion of investigation results, advice on ongoing problems or chronic diseases, advice on any new symptoms and whether you need a face to face appointment.

Just telephone 01759 302500 to book your telephone appointment.

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (eg, average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice, the required disclosure is shown below.

The average pay for GPs working in Pocklington Group Practice in the last financial year was £80,592 before tax and national insurance.  This is for 6 full time GPs and 2 part time GPs who worked in the Practice for more than six months.

However, it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other practice.
