Our Practice and Practice Dispensary opening times are 8.00 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday not including Bank Holidays, except on the first Wednesday of every month when they are closed for Staff Training from 1.00 pm to 2.15 pm. Our telephone answering service is closed between 12.15 pm and 1.15 pm Monday to Friday, except on the first Wednesday in every month when it is closed for an additional hour up until 2.15 pm for Staff Training.
In line with NHS initiatives to extend GP hours of service we offer a limited number of routine appointments on Saturday mornings. The purpose of these apppointments is for patients who have genuine difficulty leaving work during the week to have more opportunity to see a doctor routinely in a standard 10 minute consultation. Please note that appointments for insurance / employment / lighter life etc medicals are not available on Saturday mornings. Please see the "appointments" section for further details. Patients will need to pre-book these appointments in advance of the Saturday morning.
In order to meet the aims of these Saturday surgeries, patients requiring urgent appointments or home visits will still be required to contact the usual 'out of hours' number 0845 056 8060 or for advice contact NHS Direct on 0845 46 47.
As the funding available to provide these surgeries is limited, there will be no Nurse led clinics available on Saturdays.
Please note that if non-repeat medicines are required urgently out of hours, then the Out of Hours service should be contacted via 0845 056 8060.
A facility is now in place to enable the ordering of repeat prescriptions to be streamlined, just requiring a tick box to reorder. You need to use the "login" facility to access it. Access is via the "prescriptions" tab on the left of the screen.
Please note that this prescription ordering facility should never be used for anything other than repeat prescriptions. If you have any important/urgent information for the practice, please telephone it through and if you require a visit, please telephone before 10.00 am. The same applies for appointments; please use the appointment booking facility on this website and not the prescription ordering facility.
You can now order prescriptions, register as a new patient or change your name and address, all via this website. Use the buttons on the left to access the relevant areas of this site
Of course you may still order repeat prescriptions in the usual way by sending, delivering or faxing the repeat prescription slip to the surgery.

To speed your input of information, use the Login screen. This will mean that you will only have to enter your personal details once and these will be held on your computer to automatically enter onto requests for repeat prescriptions etc.
With regard to electronic booking of GP Appointments, this is available via the patient.co.uk website. However, before you can do this, you need to obtain a Pin Number and Access ID from this Practice by emailing Mrs Pauline Cox, our Assistant Practice Manager (pauline.cox@nhs.net).
On receipt of your e-mail, the registration forms and guidelines will be prepared for you to be collected from the Practice Reception Desk, seven working days from us receiving your e-mail. Proof of identification will be required when collecting the information.
Some of the advantages of this system are that you can cancel appointments you have made electronically and it also provides an increased number of appointments than we were able to offer previoulsy.

The online booking system is only for use by patients who are already registered at our practice. It is suitable for making routine appointments only, with your doctor.
It is not possible to book nurse appointments, joint appointments with doctor and nurse, extra long appointments or non-routine appointments.
For such appointments please telephone 01759 302500, option 1. Some of the non-routine appointments offered are detailed below.
Smears, HGV Medicals, Insurance Medicals, Taxi Medicals, Minor Ops, Post Natal, Baby Six Week Checks. Please note that these 'non-routine' appointments are not available on a Saturday morning.
